Courtyards at Southpoint
Transition Working Group
Please Indicate Your Interest in Running for the HOA Board
By Tommy Worsham
The Courtyards at Southpoint Transition Working Group’s research regarding our shift to a resident-led homeowners association board has demonstrated an obvious fact: We need a strong slate of candidates to step up for leadership roles.
During the TWG’s neighborhood meeting Jan. 23, several members of that group mentioned the importance of homeowners making themselves available for service on the HOA board. They explained how leadership provided by a representative and qualified board will help ensure Courtyards at Southpoint remains a great place to live and will secure the value of our homes.

Recruiting a robust set of candidates greatly improves the chances of electing effective leaders. So, the TWG decided to conduct a preliminary survey to determine the level of homeowner interest in serving on the board.
This survey will not replace the formal nomination process, which will occur after the sales of 98% of new homes in our neighborhood have closed. However, it will reveal whether we are in good shape for an election or whether we need to generate greater participation.
This brief survey should only take a few minutes to complete. You can remain anonymous or include your name. Only the first two Yes/No questions are required, but you may enter additional information about yourself.
Please help your neighborhood and complete the survey by clicking here. Don’t forget to hit “submit” when you complete the survey.
The survey is mobile-device-friendly. You can even complete it using your smartphone while standing in line at the DMV or waiting for your next medical appointment.
